SAF’s mission is to promote poverty alleviation, food security, job creation, and economic self-reliance among vulnerable populations, particularly youth, women, and marginalized smallholder farmers in rural Africa by providing access to sustainable agricultural technologies and training programs.
To work towards developing robust agricultural value chains by improving production systems, storage facilities, processing capabilities, and distribution networks to stimulate agribusiness development, ensure food security and economic self-reliance among African youth, women, and marginalized smallholder farmers.
To foster innovation and productivity in livestock, fisheries, poultry, and horticulture by supporting research, investing in agro-tech startups, agricultural incubation initiatives, and training young farmers and rural agripreneurs.

One of the key activities of SAF is providing training and capacity building programs for the target groups to enhance their agricultural skills and knowledge so as to improve yields and income. In addition to training programs, SAF works with local stakeholders and partners to provide access to resources such as high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and farm equipment, which help youth, women, and smallholder farmers increase their farming productivity and improve livelihoods.
Furthermore, the organization engages in community outreach and extension services to identify and address the specific challenges faced by young and women farmers in rural areas. SAF is able to tailor its programs and interventions to meet the needs of youth, women and marginalized farmers. Another key activity of SAF is promoting market linkages for smallholder farmers to access fair and stable markets for their produce. This market-oriented approach not only improves the economic self-reliance of the farmers but also contribute to food security by ensuring a steady supply of fresh, locally produced food in the market.
